Honouring our Past, Building our Future
Victor Harbor Golf Club's Centenary Vision
As we stand on the threshold of our centenary celebration on May 2, 2025, there’s a profound sense of both pride and possibility in the air at Victor Harbor Golf Course. For one hundred years, these fairways and greens have been witness to countless memories, friendships forged, and sporting achievements that have woven themselves into the fabric of our community.
Honouring our Past, Building our Future:
Our Centenary Vision
Our beloved course has been more than just a place to play golf – it’s been a custodian of traditions, a sanctuary of natural beauty, and a home away from home for generations of members. Now, as we honor this rich heritage, we’re excited to embark on an ambitious journey that will shape the next century of golfing excellence at Victor Harbor.
Central to our vision is the creation of a spectacular 19th hole, a project that represents both our respect for tradition and our bold aspirations for the future. This isn’t just about adding another hole – it’s about crafting an experience that will challenge and delight golfers for generations to come. Under the expert guidance of course architect Neil Crafter, we’re planning thoughtful enhancements to our 9th and 10th holes that will elevate the entire golfing experience while preserving the character that makes our course special.
However, bringing this vision to life requires more than just dreams – it needs the support of our entire golfing family. As we launch our centenary fundraising campaign, we’re calling on all those who have shared in the joy of this course to help write its next chapter. Every contribution, large or small, will help ensure that Victor Harbor Golf Course continues to be a source of pride and pleasure for the next hundred years.
Our goal is to raise $150,000 for this project through exciting fundraising events and the generosity of our members and the broader community.
This is our moment to honor the foresight of those who established our course in 1925, while showing the same boldness and vision for future generations. Together, we can create something truly remarkable – a legacy that will make our centenary celebration not just a milestone, but a launching pad into an even brighter future.
Join us in making history, as we build upon our cherished past to create tomorrow’s memories.
“Golf has been more than just a sport to me. It’s been a sanctuary, a place of friendship, challenge, and personal growth. Growing up, this club was where I learned life’s most important lessons: patience, perseverance, and the joy of community. Now, I have the chance to ensure that future generations will have the same transformative experiences that shaped my life”.
