Course Care

In the interests of keeping the golf course in first class condition, players should:

  • Replace all divot on the fairways or fill divot with sand and smooth surface

  • Repair all plug marks on the greens

  • Smooth out all footprints in the bunkers with rakes provided

  • Enter bunkers using the walkways provided

  • Place litter in the bins provided

  • Mark their ball on the green with a coin or suitable marker

Lob/plug marks on greens

A player should ensure that any damage to the putting green made by the ball or other players is carefully repaired

Damage to greens

Players should ensure that, when putting down bags, or the flagstick, no damage is done to the putting green. Caution should be taken that damage does not occur to the hole by standing close to it, handling the flagstick or by removing the ball from the hole. The flagstick should be properly replaced in the hole before the players leave the putting green. Players are not allowed to wheel carry bags across greens.

Holes in bunkers

Before leaving a bunker, a player should carefully fill up and smooth over all holes and footprints. Always leave rake in the flat of the bunker facing the direction of play.

Carts

Golf carts can only be driven by players who been given permission to do so. Users are required to adhere to the guidelines governing the use of motorised carts. In general, players should adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Obey all directional signs

  • Must not drive within six metres of any green

  • Must not drive between greenside bunkers and greens

  • Must avoid tees where possible

  • Must avoid all areas where damage might occur

  • No more than two people to ride in a cart

  • Must not drive faster than your partner’s walking pace
